GP Management Plan through Medicare

Your child may be eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP, perviously known as an Enhanced Primary Care Plan or EPC).  This provides a Medicare rebate ($52.95 as at 1/7/2018) for up to 5 sessions of allied health services each calendar year.

Arrange an appointment with your GP to check eligibility. If eligible, this plan needs to be in place prior to your appointment in order to claim the medicare rebate.

Private Health Cover

Check with your individual fund to see if you have cover for Occupational Therapy. The health fund may reimburse part of your OT session fee.

Please note that you can not access Private Health Insurance and Medicare rebates for the same appointment.

NDIS

If your child has an NDIS plan and the plan for therapy supports is self-managed or plan managed (managed by a financial intermediary such as a bookkeeper) then you can use this funding to access OT 2 Grow.  Currently, OT 2 Grow is not registered for NDIS so if your NDIS plan is agency managed you will need to choose another NDIS registered provider.
